Advice Column questions

 Dear Jonathan,

I have been talking to my friend and he told about this spot at his pond that we found that the bass had beaded there. So I went over and started casting and caught nothing. I tried different lures and still got nothing. So i went over to the opposite side of the pond and tried again. It was almost like magic I began catching them left and right. I was wondering why it helped to go to the other side and cast?
